End of the World Part 1...The overview.

Okay...Okay... I'll do a blog about the end of the world.

NO NO NO NO NO!!!! The world is not going to end!!!! Not now, not in 2012, NOT EVER!!!! The world CAN'T END!!

WRONG!!!!! The world will end, and in my opinion.... probably within my lifetime. Now before you go and tune out or click away to watch porn or harvest your crops in Farmville, hear me out.


First, every single major religion/culture has an end of days theory. Most people say myth, but I believe that all myths have a basis in fact. Besides, one of the definitions of Theory, according to Webster, is : a belief, policy, or procedure proposed or followed as the basis of action. So now we have every major religion and most cultures (at least the old ones) with a theory that says the world will come to an end. Sort of...

What the hell do you mean "Sort of"? Either they do or they don't.

This is where things get picky. Some religions, including my own, believe that the world as we know it, society mankind our accomplishments our way of life, will be wiped out and replaced by a better one. Other religions and or cultures believe the planet itself will be destroyed. So you pick, is the phrase, "end of the world" a euphemism, or is it literal? 

Does it matter? Either way we're all screwed right? 

Pretty much, I just don't want someone coming along later and saying, "That's not what I meant, I said the WORLD can't end, and I was talking about the planet, so I'm right and you're wrong!!!"

Petulant little pricks are out there, and they will nit pick just to be right. Ooops my smart asstitude came out again, sorry.

The point is, with every major religion and most ancient cultures believing that some day the world will end, the question becomes less "if" and more "how and when". 

I can hear the next argument already, "I'm an Atheist and I don't believe in anything I can't see, so you're wrong!"

Actually, for you Atheists out there, I can show you the science and statistics that will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, that our world not only can end, it's a mathematical certainty that it will. And probably a lot sooner then you might think.
 
Are you serious? Can you really prove it? Would this "proof" stand up in a court of law? Could you be wrong? Can it be changed?

Yes, yes, yes, no, and finally yes and no. Huh?

Okay, here is what I propose, because of the immense volume of theories, religions, science, and beliefs out there, I am going to break up this subject into a series of blogs. 

First, because I want to grab your attention and because I made the claim, I will start with the scientific "proof". Besides, I want to piss off the Atheists first, and then maybe, just maybe, they will read the other blogs with a more open mind about the possibilities.

Second, 2012 did the Mayans have it right? Obviously, this subject is probably the most time sensitive (unless you believe the revised October 21st date for the Rapture as predicted by Harold Camping). But his prediction is a whole other story, I'll deal with him in the next part.

Third, the big religions and what they have to say on the subject. I think you will find this one especially interesting when you hear my opinion on their opinions. Lot's of fun!!!!

Finally, the ancients and the out there. Did you know, that there is a 10th (Or 9th if your a Pluto hater) planet? And did you know, it will be the end of us all?

So, over the next few days...okay maybe weeks, I will publish this series, complete with data, pictures, and lots of quotes from lots of people smarter then I am. I will do my best to get them out in a timely manner, just please be patient as there is a huge amount of information and research that I need to include, so that you can see that maybe...just maybe... there might be something to this "End of the world" shit.
