End of the World: My opinion and what can be done.

As you can see by the picture above (Time Magazine cover from 1999, No copyright infringement is intended here so Time Warner please don't sue me), this isn't the first time someone has cried, "The end is near!" And with 2012 around the corner it won't be the last. Unless the people who interpreted the Mayan Calendar were off by a year.

Alright, so here goes. I am going to try to lay everything out as I see it. Based solely on my, research, observations, beliefs, and what my heart is telling me, WE ARE LIVING IN WHAT THE BIBLE REFERS TO AS "THE END OF DAYS".
Oh great! But what if I am not a believer?
Not a problem, I will walk you through a few things, and maybe, just maybe you will get a little peace and reassurance.


FIRST POINT: Why do I believe we are at the end?
SECOND POINT: How close are we?
THIRD POINT: What can we do about it?

Please bare with me but there is so much information I have to break it down.

WHY I BELIEVE WE ARE AT THE END:

Every major source of prophecy and prediction, from Nostradamus, to the Mayan, to the Bible and every other monotheistic religion points to the time we are in as being "the end of days". In my opinion, (which if you combine that with a quarter, you can't buy a phone call) the end of this month will begin what the Bible refers to as "The seven years of Tribulation". This is a period when God gives humanity one last chance to come to Him before he passes judgement on ALL mankind.

Well that doesn't sound too bad, why should we worry about it?

I'm glad you asked. During the Tribulation, God will try to convince man to worship Him, through a series of major catastrophes, and global punishments that I don't think you want to suffer.

I thought God was all about peace and love and brotherhood. Why would he hurt everyone now?

Because he is pissed! He is tired of mankind coming up with excuses and turning their collective backs on Him. Look around you at the world we live in. Every last commandment and rule that God gave us to live by is being ignored, broken, and flat rejected! For those of you out there that are parents, when your children break the rules, you punish them to teach them that there are consequences for their actions. Criminals are punished when they break the Law, but what happens when the "Law" no longer conforms with Gods commandments? When "society" finds acceptable, the things that God abhors?  That is when He steps in and takes over. Just like when a parents rules do not conform to State or Federal law and the "state" steps in and takes over. The Bible talks about this as "the terrible day of the Lord" or "Judgement day" or several other terms that boil down to the day when God takes us all to task for our sins. HOWEVER! Having said that. I must make one thing perfectly clear. GOD DOES NOT WANT TO SEND US ALL TO HELL! Which is defined in the Bible as "a complete separation from Him." God will give everyone, one last chance to come to Him and say "I'm sorry". That is the purpose of the Tribulation. Over and over, God will lay out proof to man that he exists and that we need to follow His teaching and rules. This proof will get more and more dramatic and "impossible" until those that are still around will either be convinced or will be so angry at God that they will deliberately turn their backs on Him. But none will be able to deny His existence.

You're still not telling my why you think we are about to start that! All you're doing is preaching!

HOW CLOSE ARE WE?:Okay okay, so you want my reasons fine here we go. Political: In 1948 Israel became a nation, and in the Bible it says that the genertion which sees the return of Gods chosen (the Jews) to Jerusalem (Israel as a state) "...shall not pass until ALL these things (Gods day of Judgement and everything leading up to it) have been fulfilled." In Psalms 90:10 the Bible defines a generation as 70 years. 1948 + 70 = 2018. Subtract the 7 years of tribulation from 2018 and you get 2011. Rosh hashanah , the Jewish new year, is September 29th 2011 this is the 63rd "Feast of Trumpets" since statehood. This just happens to also be the last approximate date of when Comet ELEnin is between the Earth and the Sun. Coincidence?  Possibly, but since God is in control of ALL things, I doubt it. And remember, the California Legislature, the U.S. Congress, British Parliament, and the British Royal Family are all conspicuously either "Not in Session" or  "not making public appearances. Even the President of the U.S. is scheduled to be near or in the largest underground bunker in the country around that time. Revelation 6:15-17 says, "¹⁵The kings of the earth, its famous people, and its military leaders hid in caves or behind rocks on the mountains. They hid there together with the rich and the powerful and with all the slaves and free people. ¹⁶Then they shouted to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us! Hide us from the one who sits on the throne and from the anger of the Lamb. ¹⁷That terrible day has come! God and the Lamb will show their anger, and who can face it?"

If that isn't enough to convince you there is one other thing. On September 20th (Tomorrow) the Palestinian Authority will approach the UN and ask that the security counsel declare Palestine a state and set the borders back to pre-1967 locations and make East Jerusalem their capitol. Ezekiel 36:2-7 says, "Your enemies sneered and said that you mountains belonged to them. ³They ruined and crushed you from every side, and foreign nations captured and made fun of you. ⁴So all you mountains and hills, streams and valleys, listen to what I will do. Your towns may now lie in ruins, and nations may laugh and insult you. ⁵But in my fierce anger, I will turn against those nations, and especially the Edomites (Arabs), because they laughed at you the loudest and took over your pasture lands. ⁶You have suffered long enough, and, I, the LORD God, am very angry! Nations have insulted you, ⁷so I will now insult and disgrace them. That is my solemn promise.      

One more little thing to remember about what God says regarding the end times and signs that they are approaching. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 states, "¹But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.²For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
 ³For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. ⁴But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief."
September 21st is known as "International Peace Day", and with the UN giving Palestine statehood, EVERYONE will be cheering about "Now there will be peace in the Middle East!" Remember, most world leaders believe that if the Israeli/Palestinian conflict can be resolved, everything will be "all better" over there. Remember, God will turn on the Nations of the world that turn against Israel. Up until our current president, U.S. policy has ALWAYS been Pro-Israel. President Obama, unfortunately but probably by design, has repeatedly turned his back on Israel. Warning them over and over and even going so far as to threaten withdrawal of US military support if they do not accept Palestine statehood and roll back the borders to pre-1967 locations. Israel will find NO support here when they need it the most. Only 5 countries can veto the security councils decision, Russia, China, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States. ALL of the other nations have come out in support of the Palestinians. The U.S. WILL fall in line with the others, rather than risk conflict with our allies and other nuclear powers. All of these events take place 7 days prior to the start of the "Feast of Trumpets". Oh and BTW 7 is the Biblical number of "Completion".
Other signs: Luke 21:24-26 states, "²⁴And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (End of Global domination by non Jewish nations) ²⁵And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; ²⁶Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken."
What the Hell does that mean?
In case you have been living under a rock this year, let me explain. Throughout history, one thing was considered a sure fire way to predict, postulate, indicate and show the way as well as CONTROL and DICTATE the future. This has even been used to tell us what type of person we are. The stars, our sun, moon, planets and especially COMETS. Astrology alone controls more peoples actions then morals or ethics.
But if you're Christian you CAN'T believe in astrology!
Genesis 1:14 ¹⁴And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.
Having explained let me just say, the Sun has been more active in 2011 than in any one year prior. We have seen more and larger, Sunspots, Coronal Mass Ejections, and other Solar phenomenons. The aurora borealis (a phenomenon caused by solar winds) has been seen in lower latitudes this year then ever before. Several comets have come or are going to come closer to our planet then in any one year in recent history. Comets, throughout history have been seen as "Harbingers" or "omens". Ancient Romans, Babylonians, the Ojibwa Indians all have comets as destroyers of life and changers of the world in their historic myths. Even modern man has considered Halley's comet as a harbinger of doom. In 1985 "The Economist" ran a great article about how Halley's come was to blame for problems throughout history and would cause problems again and should be nuked.
